BRANDON "BK" KUSSMAUL
11U GN ACADEMY HEAD COACH

Coach BK graduated from Landstown High School in 2014. He continued his education at
Virginia Wesleyan University and graduated in 2018. He was afforded the opportunity to play in the Frontier League for the Normal Cornbelters in 2018 and in 2019 played in the Pecos League for the Garden City Wind. He works at Hampton Roads Sports Academy providing private lessons or running open gyms and clinics. He has been the coach with this 11U group since they began the program as a 9U team.

BK is a big believer in learning to grow through the game of baseball.  He believes, "This game has taught me a ton about life, like how to fail and find a way to turn it into a success.  For example, flying out, but still bringing in a run to help my team win.  The many opportunities I was blessed to chase were just a piece to a long journey of learning, that started with wonderful coaches and mentors at a young age, and all the way through.  Learn the game of baseball and how to apply it to your life.  Enjoy all of it, because one day it will end, but the life lessons you learn, will stay with you for eternity."
